Two posts in one day?! Yes...I did it!
Recently, I joined RentTheRunway.com. I've noticed a few other bloggers have used the site and wanted to take a peek. I have a lot of "events" coming up in the next few weeks and wanted to see if there was anything I could afford to rent.
My 10-year high school reunion is coming up on May 14th! That's like 2 weeks away y'all! And I wanted to get something new and sassy to wear.
I loved my high school and I loved all the people I graduated with (all 75 of them) BUT...it will by no means be a fashion show. A lot of people will probably be in jeans, but I want to still look nice. I'm one of the remaining few that is still single (never married, no kids) so I need people I haven't seen in 10 years to be like "Damn! For a single gal...she's still got it!" Because where I'm from, if you're not married by the time you're 28 then you're an old maid and should be living in a shoe with your cats. (Wasn't that nursery rhyme?)
Anywho...here are the choices. These 4 dresses fall within my price range and size.
I really love this Rebecca Taylor dress, but I just wish it was in a different color. Gray + my vampire skin doesn't mix.
Nanette Lepore...I liked the pattern on this dress. I hardly ever wear patterns.
Halston Heritage...I really love this one, but I'm not sure if it would cover my juicy booty.
Doo.ri...I never wear blue. Thought I might change it up.
camilla and marc...people from my high school will probably think i'm an idiot wearing a "romper", but I think it's casual and cute.
Let me know what you think! Which one(s) do you like? Final decision?

first - bat boy is trying to make jokes and it's distracting me from commenting. Second of all, I am having a hard time deciding on one. Color wise I love the blue the best. Style wise I love the gray. Now, if you could just make the gray dress blue I think we'd have a winner. I honestly like them all, but I agree that the one may be a little too short. Remember my DELIAS issue? You don't want that! Measure to see how long it would fall, I'm sure they tell you the inches of how long it is.
So since realistically I can't combine the gray and blue, if I had to pick just one .... I would go with ....

I vote blue! That color is BEAUTIFUL!
I'd vote the gray or the blue-- casual enough to not be out of place, but still rockin!

I really like the gray one and the blue. I guess if you aren't going to feel spectacular in gray, go with the blue. Confidence is the best accessory as they say!
I love #3 and #5. But if #3 doesn't cover your butt (I know for a FACT it wouldn't cover mine), then I'd say #5. Looks like I'm all alone here!
I like the blue and yellow! and my hometown is the same way... it's crazy. I am the only non married one! They think I am on the wrong path or something, ha
I love the Doo.ri cobalt dress!! That is my top pick! :)
I wasn't in the mood to attend my 5 year that was in November (we have it at the 5.5 yr mark, over Thanksgiving so most people will be home)...I really regret it!

I vote for the cobalt blue dress! It's so pretty and will look goregous on you. Wear some nude heels with it! :)

the block romper, #5!! If its anything like my recent 10 year reunion, people will be in jeans (as you said) and you dont want to be TOOOO over dressed. I love the fun springy-ness of the romper.
My vote is for the yellow or the blue.... I think theyd both look amazing with your hair color and skin tone.
Oh and the romper is actually my favorite but guys seem to tend towards "anti-romper." In most cases I'd say F them! but this is a special situation.
My sister in law and I crack up at how you basically puke on the dress, send it back, and not pay extra ; )

#4 is my favorite, but #1 is good too. I love the romper - but it's hard to pull off a romper when people around you just don't get it! You could always tell them to just open up a fashion magazine and get with program :)

The romper!!! It is a nice combo of being kind of fancy and casual. That way you won't feel too over dressed next to your friends wearing jeans but you will still get that 'DAMN!" from the short romper and heels! :o)
I really like the romper however, its probably better for a date. I like the colorful number but, the blue one does really draw my attention. I hope my two-sense helps! By the way I'm a new follower.
I super love that first dress, it looks soooooo classy and that yellow one is soooo fun and cute and perfect for spring/summer.

Personally I think the gray would work just fine for you! The girl in that picture is pretty darn pale ;) But also I think your red hair would set it off well, and I like the style of that dress best.
But if not that one, the blue one :)

OK, listen, I need a run down of what you're gonna do about the HS reunion. From attire, to hair, to work out, to...accessories...everything. I mean, maybe we should start a series on how to prepare yourself for the impending reunion. Mine is coming up in July and I'm nervous. I don't want to be considered fat, ugly, bitchy, too pale, or any other unappealing term of endearment. Help me out here.
