Post Op Weekend

On Friday morning, I had to have some minor oral surgery done. So the majority of my weekend was spent following these instructions (see above), naps, sudoku, and reading this book...

I know most people (especially in the South) are not fans of comedian, Kathy Griffin, but ever since her reality show My Life on the D-List aired on Bravo a few years ago I've been a huge fan. I think she's hilarious (and she's a fellow ginge like me...I've got to support). Her book wasn't all cussing and inappropriate comments about her lady bits. It was a memoir that was insight into her life. I won't go into detail, but I really enjoyed it. It was more or less a juicy tale on her family life, failed marriage, and celebrity run-in's.

The best part of my weekend, was getting a visit from this sweet little girl. My cousin's baby girl (she'll be a big girl turning 2 in October). Her daddy and mommy drove her 7 miles down the road to see me and she had a McFlurry in hand. I can't say I was surprised because I requested the visit and milkshake. However, it was nice to get to see her and her parents.

This is us yesterday at my grandparents for the weekly Sunday lunch we always have....
