Being an only child, I've never really known what it's like to be from a big family. My mom only has one brother and I only have two cousins on her side of the family. They were each 9 and 6 years older than me so growing up we were never that close. And my dad is one of 4, but his mother died when he was in high school and both of his brothers died before I was born. So, I was never really close with his side of the family at all.
Then, when my mom got married to my stepdad is where all the "fun" began. My stepdad is one of 5 boys! And each son has children and now those children are getting married and having children. There are 5 sons, 5 daughter-in-laws, 10 grandchildren (including me), 4 grand-in-laws, and now 2 great grandchildren. It's a huge family and I'm so grateful that they treat me like one of their own. Whenever we get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas it literally takes 10 minutes to tell everyone good bye.
Jimmy and Johnel are the sweetest people you will ever meet. Jimmy has a love for the Clemson Tigers (boo!), cars, and NASCAR and Johnel always looks perfect and is dressed to a tee with her sassy jewelry and coordinating outfits. I hope I look as good as her when I'm her age.

After we all ate, each son gave a small toast or speech to their parents. It was nice hearing stories of how their parents raised them and how much they mean to each of them in their own unique way.

Son #1 Jimbo gave his little speech before dinner so I forgot to get a picture.
I wish Jimmy and Johnel 60 more years of happiness!

loves,
sweetbef
P.S. and I missed my grandparents wedding anniversary in July. They celebrated their 63 anniversary this year! I guess time flies by when you're having fun!
