Knoxvegas Trip

So, this past weekend I took a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee to visit my sweet friend, Vivian. She works as a pharmacist at UT Hospital and has been in Knoxville for about 3 years as she went through a residency there and continued working at the hospital after she completed it. I've always wanted to make a trip to visit her, but never really got around to making a plan. Until a couple of weeks ago, I asked when a good time to come visit was and we decided this past weekend would be best. The drive wasn't bad either. My views the whole way through were so spectacular.

I went through one state...

and another state...

And then I arrived at Vivian's new digs. She just moved in to this cute lofty like apartment near downtown Knoxville. It's an old school building that was converted into apartments. It totally felt like I was visiting her dorm room b/c the hallways were so reminiscent of that dormy feel. (That's probably why I drank like a college kid this past weekend too).

Friday night, we got gussied up and headed to the "Old City" part of Knoxville and had a numerous amount of cocktails. Then Saturday, made a quick shopping trip in Turkey Creek and at West Town Mall.
Saturday night, some of Vivian's old friends who used to live in Knoxville came through town and we all met up (it was about 17 of us) and went to a place called Cafe 4 in Market Square. I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles...it was pure heaven! Downtown Knoxville really reminded me of Asheville, NC. The people, the scenery, and the ambiance. It was a really neat place that Market Square. I had a good time getting to meet Vivian's Knoxville buddies. After dinner, we kind of all went our separate ways...but there were more cocktails involved.
Sunday, Vivian wanted to show me the "sights" before I left since the majority of our weekend was spent either sleeping/napping and drinking. We ate at Soccer Taco on Market Square and then did a little sight seeing around the city.

We did a drive by of the University of Tennessee campus...and all I wanted to do was run into a dorm room and pretend I was still in college. The real world is not a fun place...especially for a girl like me.
I'll try to have more pictures with actual faces in them later... :)

loves,
sweetbef
p.s. did I mention I met a cute little fella this weekend too? ahhh...the life of a single gal.
