Last year, my 82 year old grandmother had her 2nd scare with breast cancer. The first was only years earlier and she had a successful lumpectomy. The 2nd scare came with a full mastectomy of her breast. Someone was watching over her, because that was also a success and no further treatment was needed. I know there are many women who are not as lucky.Any form of cancer is scary...I just hope we can find a cure for all of it in my lifetime.
Last year, some friends and I walked in the Susan G Komen 5k. I wasn't able to participate this year, but you can always help throughout the year.

Glad your grandmother is a survivor!My aunt did not have the same luck 5 years ago, which is why I'm walking in her memory again this year! :)
im so sad we didnt get to do the SGK walk this year. Let's plan on next year definitely!!!
