I'm taking a "page" out of Sami's post from yesterday to list my pet peeves.
(these aren't all about grammar, but I will say I hate that animals say "haz", "iz", etc. it's weird they're talking at all.)
These are listed in random order.
1. "1st Annual"
Think about it. How can it be "annual" if it's the first? I remember learning this in a public relations class in college. It annoys me to no end.
2. iPhone group messages.
I realize these are important when there are big announcements to make (engagements, babies, etc) and they don't annoy me up until other people begin to reply. I have a droid phone...I can't comment back.
Example: Yesterday I was included in a group message that was with myself and 3 iPhone users. It lasted for 3 hours. In order to respond to the group I had to send my own group message to the other 3.
Finally I gave up. It's like being inside a box where you can see the other people talking (sometimes about you) and they can't hear/see you inside that box.
I've been able to notice when i'm included in a group message and normally don't respond because it's more pain that it's worth.
So if you ever want to include me in a group message via an iPhone think twice.
3. Gum/Food Smackers.
Is an explanation needed?
4. Getting an "okay" or "K" as a text response.
waste. of. time.
5. # on Facebook.
That's not how it works people. Hashtags don't work on Facebook.
I just kept it to 5 to keep it short. I'm sure there are 10 pet peeves inside of me somewhere, but for now these are my top 5 pet peeves.

Get out of my head. I couldn't agree more with this post.
I just got an iPhone and I hate group messages! I feel your pain about them as I just switched from a Droid. They were so irritating.
And a big HECK YES to #5.
I LOVE these!! All of them!:)
I hate iphone group messages also!
I agree with all of the above! # were one of the reasons that I quit facebook. lol
Hashtags on fb are annoying...very. Group messages are also foul, but I'll be moving into the apple world soon so I wont notice anymore. If I send you a text message that involves several sentences and you respond with 'k'? You're dead to me.
I agree on the iphone group messages, gum smackers, hashtags, 1st annual...oh wait! That was almost all of them! (haha because unfortunately I am guilty of the k responses).
I have an iPhone and detest group messages. A lot of of the time, people don't realize they're in a group message and say something they wouldn't want everyone to read. Besides, I mostly hate people. If it's more than my two best friends, count me out.
I hate hashtags on Facebook too. #doinitwrong I can almost understand it if someone has their Twitter linked to Facebook, but that's just another pet peeve of mine. Don't link the two and post the same shit two places.
I agree with just about everything you listed here!!!
Hash tags on Facebook are probably my biggest pet peeve right now. I've been seriously considering just deleting the people who do it, when I know they don't have a Twitter. I'm pretty sure they just want to do what everyone else is doing.
Hahaha. AMEN to all of these!! "K." ;)
"How can it be "annual" if it's the first?"
- My first thought on this is that it's foreshadowing of sorts...in other words, they're hinting that it's GOING to be an annual event. Totes get what you're saying though.
I'm TOTALLY with you on gum/food smackers. Throw in beverage gulpers and it makes my brain implode. Seriously. F*cking. Annoying.
Also with you on the "ok"/"k"/"okay" as a response. Complete waste of a received message, IMO.
I hate Facebook and everything about it, so no further commentary necessary there.
amen. AMEN. amen.
except I will admit, I am guilty of the k or okay reply back. but that's just because my social skills suck. :)
but I burst out laughing when I read your "its weird they're talking at all" remark.
Ha ha, I just had some group message issues today too! LOL.
=)
