It is my inspiration for this week's Flashback Friday. I was at my mom's house this past Memorial Day weekend and when invited to go to celebrate with Sandi at her pool I noticed I did not pack a beach towel.
There were a few to choose from at my mom's, but the above was the one I chose. Duh?! I mean this gets picked over a plain pink and orange striped one any day.
Oh the days of Lisa Frank...Do stores still sell this shizz because I will totally go buy a new snazzy folder, stickers, and/or pencils just to carry around. No joke.
Unicorns have always been my favorite. Especially those with rainbow horns. If I was to get another tattoo I would get one of a unicorn head with a rainbow horn. You think I'm joking...i'm not.
Meet this fellow...
Yes, I said fellow. Normally, I would guess that unicorns are female. Especially those with rainbow colors. Unicorn stereotyping? Along with his likes of cloud hopping, I'm sure he likes to have sip on Cosmo's from his trough and watch episodes of Sex and the City with other unicorns in his stable. Do unicorns reside in stables? Probably not...too low class.
But "Markie" and I have a lot in common besides collecting stars and our love for drinking...I mean what person, animal, or mythical Lisa Frank being likes bad smells. I'm with you Markie...nothing sucks worse than a stinky odor.
Obviously, Lisa had way more characters than these jazzy animals...which one was your favorite?

This was after my time. I grew-up carrying folders/lunch boxes with "The Partridge Family," "Charlie's Angles," "The Monkeeys," "Brady Bunch," and all the hotties (Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garret, Scott Baio, etc.).

Obviously the cats are my favorite since you are well aware of my love for cats. I never really got into Lisa Frank, not sure why. But I'm sure I had a folder or some sort.
If you ever got a unicorn tattoo, we are no longer friends. That's a threat.

Gosh, I loved Lisa Frank as a kid but looking at her characters now...they're kinda creepy!
I love lisa frank! I think they still sell it bc I used to buy folders when I was in college. Granted that has been a few years...but I bet you could still find it. I got mine at walmart.
Lisa Frank was the bommmbbb. I remember begging my mom for a Lisa Frank trapper keeper and her being the bargain shopper she is, decided Lisa Frank trapper keepers were too pricy at like 5 dollars and I got the ugly 4 dollar ones. But look at you...you even had the TOWEL. you would have ruled my school.
