Since I had the day off work, I would have had a nice day by the pool or out on a boat to help celebrate our freedom...BUT...it was pouring rain and storming so instead I remained in bed for the majority of my day watching reality shows. Jersey Shore (love me some "Snookie"), Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood, The Real Housewives of New York City, Tough Love Couples. You name it...I watched it.
But my favorite reality show of all time is MTV's The Real World. I've seen every episode of every season since the very first one aired in 1992. In 1992, I was 9 and I watched it with my mom. At 9, I couldn't watch The Simpsons or Married with Children but The Real World was okay. Although, that was before every episode was covered in sex. The Real World is the Godfather of reality TV...it started it all.
Here are a list of my favorite seasons...
1. Real World New Orleans Season 9 - 2000
I thought Melissa was HIGH-larious and Danny was so hot...even though he doesn't like girls in that way.
2. The Real World San Diego Season 14 - 2004
Cameran was from a town 25 mintues from my own hometown. So that was pretty cool. I just loved every single person in that season. It was so funny.
On Spring Break my senior year in college, two of my best gf's and I went to the Bahamas. We ran into a lot of the Real World/Road Rules alumni and after one late night out, after a few Red Stripes I saw Jaques waiting to get a hot dog...to which I got very excited and SCREAMED out his name and ran up to him like we were life long BFF's. My friends still make fun of me for that.
3. The Real World Brooklyn Season 21 - 2009
Over the years, The Real World became more about the pretty faces and whether or not they would hook up with one another, but when this season rolled around it was way more REAL than any of the others. It tackled real issues and issues that most TV shows didn't talk about.
Even though, I love The Real World, I also love The Real Housewives franchise on Bravo. Every time a new season starts of any city I'm obsessed, but I'm pretty sure my favorite group of gals are the New Jersey housewives. I think Dina is gorgeous and Teresa is hilarious. And Sandi and I always joke about how she is Jaqueline and I'm Caroline. 
Sandi and I also ran into Kim Z from RH of Atl last September while we were in line for cocktails at the Britney Spears concert. We did not speak, but oogled at her shiny wig and how she's a lot shorter in person than she looks on TV.

I loved Real World Austin
I remember visiting friends in Texas a few years ago and when we were out in Austin we noticed some of the same bars from the show and as we were walking across the street I asked "do you think this is where danny got punched in the face? let's re-create!"
