The right-wing conservatives think it's a decision
And you can be cured with some treatment and religion
Man-made, rewiring of a pre-disposition Playing God
Ahh nah, here we go
America the brave
Still fears, what, we don't know
And God loves all His children
Is somehow forgotten
But we paraphrase a book written
35 hundred years ago
I don't know
-Macklemore
some of you that read this blog aren't going to agree with me and I'm not here to change your mind or to get on a soapbox, but every time I hear this song on the radio...those lyrics above in particular, it makes my heart smile that it's on the radio at all.
maybe one day, possibly sooner than later, all those people that were protesting gay marriage / rights will realize they are similar to the same people that were protesting racial rights 50 years ago.
I can already see changes in younger generations and their acceptance for all people.
gay marriage wouldn't ruin the sanctity of marriage...straights do that fairly well on their own.

we have come so far already but we have a long ways to go!
AMEN.
Preach On. I will never understand that mentality. And another reason I have a struggle with religion as I believe in a God who does love all.
I ADORE this song. I wasn't a huge fan of Macklemore, but after hearing this song, I was smitten. He's great, you're great, love it.
Thank you!! That song is awesome - we are so glad the tide is changing in the USA, and we have more and more people like you supporting gay rights!!
