For all Americans, September 11th will be a date that is ingrained in our minds forever. It's hard to believe it's been almost 10 years since the terrorist attacks happened.I remember being a freshman in college and my roommate coming back from her 8AM class telling me that a "bomb" had gone off at the WTC. I thought nothing of it and then headed to my 9AM class...when I got back every one was talking about it. The entire campus was a buzz with what had happened. Terror was in the mind of everyone. I immediately called my dad. He used to travel a lot for his job so I was worried he might have been flying somewhere. Luckily, his flight to Texas had been canceled and he was safe.
Two years later, my dad took me and my friend, Sandi on our first trip to NYC. We went to Ground Zero and buildings that surrounded the former towers were still covered in ashes from the blasts, windows were busted, you could feel the tragedy.
Never Forget.
