wee bit of me wednesday (errr...Thursday)

{one} what are your biggest pet peeves?
using the word "to" or "your" instead of "too" or "you're"
when you receive a text message and it only says "Okay" or "K"...waste.of.time.
people who judge others based on religion or sexual preference (or any other thing...but those are the biggest)
when traffic is caused by cars slowing down to look at a wreck or just because a cop has someone pulled over.
{two} what is your favorite dessert?

cheesecake...hands down. any kind, i don't care.
{three} what is the first thing you notice about people?

their face...
{four} are you usually late, early or right on time?

early.
especially to work...i'm always the first one to arrive and i enjoy being able to start my day off in peace.
{five} have you ever fired a gun?

Yes.
A BB gun and i've shot skeet with a rifle in high school. For class. Yup...you know you're from the South when...
{six} are you right-handed or left-handed?

right.
{seven} which do you prefer: coke or pepsi?
It doesn't matter. I'm not a big soda drinker.
{eight} do you dance crazy when no one is looking?
um...yes.
{nine} what’s your favorite movie snack?

popcorn with LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of butter and cookie dough bites
{ten} do you scream on roller coasters?

Yes! But I love them...usually the scream turns into a big smile and then a laugh!

iLove Tunes Tuesday

I am a big fan of the show Glee! And tonight is the big "Britney" episode. I'm super pumped because I am a huge fan of Miss B. Spears. I used to hide my love for her and her music, but now I let it freely flow and don't care who knows.
Last September, myself, Sandi, and her little sister Courtney all had the pleasure of seeing Britney in concert in Atlanta. It was one of the MOST fun concerts I've ever been to. Granted, most of her time was spent lip syncing, but that was to be expected, right? Since it was circus themed she had circus performers before she came on stage. It was uber cool!
Sandi was able to snap the above shots from our seats.

It would take too long for me to think of my favorite Britney Spears song...but the below song is one that I really love...only because it reminds me of myself. ;)

Are you a Britney Fan? If so, what is YOUR favorite song?

Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary!

Today is a big day for a few people in my life! We have two birthday's and an anniversary to celebrate!

Cameron and I met in college at the University of South Carolina when I was a sophomore and she was a freshman. We met through our awesome mutual friend Sandi and we've been great friends ever since. If you want to have a good time, party with this girl! She'll show you one! Happy 26th!

It's also my friend, Merrick's 28th birthday today! We grew up together and have always been great friends. Our parents are great friends and it's like one big happy family!

Today is also the 3rd anniversary of my best friends Devin and Brian. Brian and I went to kindergarten together and have remained good friends. His wife, Devin, as you may know, is one of my closest and dearest friends. They have a new little 4 month old baby boy at home so I know this anniversary will be extra special. I wish your new family all the happiness in the world as you continue on your journey together.

busy, busy week

This week is super busy in the life of SweetBef.

1. On Wednesday night, I will be heading to Highlands, NC for a client meeting on Thursday. Luckily, the client is a luxury hotel/spa so I get a free place to stay for the night (and maybe a mani/pedi Thursday afternoon).
2. After the meeting on Thursday, I will head further west to Knoxville, TN. To visit my friend Vivian, but to also break-up the trek to Louisville, KY.
3. It's time! This weekend is when this will happen. I'm nervous, excited, terrified, nervous, excited, nervous, and excited! AHHHHHHH! What am I doing?!
Hotel is booked. Bags (will be) packed. I need to make sure I purchase a case of beer to consume before his arrival Friday, since I'll be the first to get to Louisville.

In other news...

It's a sad day in Gamecock Nation...a former University of South Carolina receiver and current player for the Denver Broncos, Kenny McKinley was found dead yesterday at this home near Denver. What a tragedy. I pray for his entire family.

Costume Party aka Lady Gaga concert

{Warning: This is a LONG post full of pictures. Hope you don't mind.}
As you all know, I attended the Lady Gaga concert on Saturday in Charlotte. I had gotten tickets for Mandy and myself as a birthday gift to her. Her birthday is not until November, but I knew she wouldn't refuse a b-day gift from me...especially if Gaga was a part of the early celebration.
The day was packed full of stuff we had to accomplish.
First, we went to MAC in the mall and got makeovers done. We saw atleast 5 other girls there getting their makeup done for Gaga too!

Mandy's makeover was the best...she let her girl have free range. Me not having any balls, told my girl to stick with a smoky eye. Mandy got a LOT of compliments (and stares) and was also the "hero" to two young tweens walking by as she was getting it done.

In my best tween screechy voice with hands on face..."Oh my gosh! I love your make-up, it looks sooooooo pretty!"

Then we had to find Mandy an outfit...I didn't think that particular portion of our day needed to be documented as we were in a hurry, but we were successful at Express.

Then we headed back to my dad's to change and freshen up. And around 5:30pm, we headed to Uptown Charlotte. Directly across from the arena, is a place called the Epicentre. It's a huge 3 story open air plaza with bars, clubs, restaurants and retail shops.

Again, being on a tight schedule, we didn't want to peruse too long so we found a nice little spot at Mortimer's Cafe & Pub. We also made friends with a couple that works there and they sat with us, had some birthday shots, and were all around nice. It was like we had known them for years. I have a feeling we'll be back to Mortimer's in October when we see Chelsea Handler at the same arena.
After dinner, we made our way across the street to the show. This was the crowd waiting at the front entrance.
Once inside, it was pure pandemonium. This little collage doesn't do justice all the "costumes" we saw that night. These were the only pictures we were able to take.
I thought I was "risque" b/c my top exposed my bra (like a lot in the back), but I was pretty UNDER dressed to say the least.
Since we got our tickets last minute, the seats in our section weren't really good at all. Thank goodness we had a big screen to watch. We didn't really get to see any of the set design, but that was fine. I know she did open with a car on stage and at the end there was a huge monster chasing after her.

I tried to get as many pictures as I could of her outfits and performances...

We had a really good time. I give her an 8 out of 10. Only because I wasn't able to see the whole production from my seat AND she sang a big list of songs that I had never heard so there was a lot of sitting down (which I don't usually do at concerts). But she was an awesome singer per the usual and belted her little heart out at every song. If she comes to your town, I would recommend going...but make sure you're seats are not "rear view."

Weekend Ahead

Happy Friday!

This weekend is packed full with fun stuff!

{This clip cracks me up everytime I watch it. It reminds me of Mandy!}

I'm so excited to spend time with Devin and Mason! Daddy Brian will be out of town and we're going to have a slumber party. I haven't seen either Mommy or baby in quite a while and I'm excited to catch up!

I'll try to take LOTS of pics this weekend and do a recap on Tuesday. Please don't be upset if you don't hear from me until next week.

Have a good weekend, blog buddies! Got anything fun planned?
