if you really knew me...

if you really knew me, you would know...

I don't like chocolate cake.  I mean i'll eat it if presented or available free of charge (obviously), but my cake of choice is ALWAYS white cake with white buttercream frosting.  whipped frosting is NOT frosting.

oh man...you don't know how bad I would eat that bert & ernie cake right now.
I don't drink sweet tea.

I don't like grits or eggs.

if asked "where would you eat for the rest of your life" my answer would be Chick Fil-A.

if it's not a pink or red starburst, then it's garbage.

all I think about is food...(re: this post)

I'm not much of a morning person...if you work with me...don't talk to me until about 11am.

I really hated being an only child growing up.

I minored in dance in college...but later switched to english but dance as a minor is stupid, especially for someone that can only do the electric slide.

the only reason I majored in advertising was because my roommate told me you didn't have to take math or science classes and immediately I signed up.

my drink of choice in high school was Smirnoff Ice, Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill or "Everglade" (Everclear and Gatorade).

I can confirm that some "high school drinks" were consumed this night back in 2001 during my senior cruise.

I no longer drink my "high school drinks of choice."

snail mail and giving gifts are my love languages.

some of my bucket list times include
1. to be thrown a surprise party with all my friends (is that selfish?...don't answer that)
2. go whale watching
3. travel to greece

and now my friends, you know a little more about me...if you didn't already know it!

wedding season.

let's start from the beginning...
april 12, 2014
my friend stefanie married her sweet husband, richard in asheville at The Farm
when stefanie was searching for a venue, I would randomly send her web sites for local outdoor spaces.  one of the last ones I sent her was The Farm.  my bff Kate had been to a wedding there in october for a mutual friend ashton.

stefanie text me to tell me she was on her way to take a tour and later that day told me they had booked it.
I couldn't wait to see it for myself.  it was gorgeous and the weather was perfect and I was honored that stefanie asked me to be bridesmaid and stand by her side on her and richard's big day.

the ceremony was short and sweet (just the way I like it) and was legit one of the best weddings i've attended.

the dance party we had at the reception was insane.  sandi and I were sore for about a week after that night.

i've known adam since we were little kids growing up going to the same schools and church together.
I met heather in 7th grade and we've been good friends ever since.
they had known each other since 7th grade as well, but didn't start dating until 2011.
I was honored to help her with her big day.  their venue was perfect and especially perfect location for me because it was only 5 minutes down the road at the beautiful Ryan Nicholas Inn.

besides being "shushed" by the wedding coordinator (another story for another time) at the rehearsal dinner everything was perfect.

it was so nice to catch up with people that I graduated high school with and haven't seen in a few years.

and it was especially great to hang out with my fellow "Dixie Chicks" (when you go to a high school named Dixie in the late 90's/early 00's when Goodbye Earl is a top hit song...you can call yourselves that).  i've made some lifelong memories with all of these girls and we will continue to make memories until the day we die.  it's hard to believe this little crew has been going strong since high school.
june 14th, 2014
the last wedding on my schedule (so far) this year.
in february my best friend, mandy told me she was engaged and asked me if I would be her maid of honor.

even though her wedding hasn't happened just yet...we've already started the party rolling with a Bridal Shower, Stock the Bar Party, Monograms & Mimosa's shower, and I'm planning a Bachelorette Party for her at the end of the month.
it's been a whirlwind, but I love planning things and finding new ideas on pinterest.  it's all I do in the evenings after work.

and this, my friends, is how i've continued my reign as "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" - 6 dresses total and counting.
