other than Jessica Biel..."And Guest" or "Plus One" are two words that I loathe. Single girls do ya hear me?
I have a Debutante Ball coming up (you may have heard of it here) in less than 3 weeks and still no date.
I really need to find more guy friends in the area. The ones I have are either 1) douches 2) leaning on this side of gay or 3) taken.
There was an inkling of taking former bartender friend to the dance, but he cancelled our date we were supposed to have last Sunday and haven't really heard from him since, so being that he is extremely unreliable I would rather not have to crawl and look desperate and ask him.
I don't mind going stag to events...and it's usually what I end up doing. That way, you don't have to worry about entertaining anyone the whole night...but this year I'm taking a couple as my guests so...I want to be able to have a little friend there too. Single ladies do ya hear me (again)?
Well, I can always go the personal ad route. Hey...it worked for Debra Messing in The Wedding Date. I'll just have to find one that will accompany me for free or either be satisfied with the open bar that will be provided. I don't have $6,000 to fork over.
And blog buddies...if you know any cute fellas who don't mind wearing a tux for a few hours and enjoy free food and cocktails let me know. I have a place they can go!loves,

this reminds me though that i once took a very attractive acquittance with me to a few weddings and pretended like he was my boyfriend...had everyone fooled!

I wish I knew someone but I don't. I totally feel you on this one. Usually I would rather go alone so I don't have to entertain someone else but if I was taking a couple as my guest I would want someone as my date too. You could always try match and just make it specific to your one event...
where is the deb ball?? i have one to go to too in like 3 wks ...haha i'll let you know if i think of anyone though!
ugh, i feel ya and i also hate it. I have a wedding to go to this summer and I'm already thinking how I have NO clue who I will bring! ha I cracked up when you described your current guy friends- mine are all douches or taken too.. and I'm trying to get rid of the first type.

PS I know what you mean - I didn't do "and guest" for my wedding for that very reason
Amen! I totally hear ya on this post! I cringe whenever I get an invite that says "And guest"...sometimes I bring one, but more often than not, I go solo.

i hear ya on the date thing! my brother is getting married in July and I'd love to have a date to bring...butt i don't even know who to take. kinda stinks!
hopefully ya can find someone... LOVE the wedding date, if only that were real life, i'd take him to all my events!
