loves, sweetbef
All my friends are like my family. And I am so grateful that the majority of my friends I've known since I was a wee-one and we are still great friends to this day. It's such a blessing to have friends that you've known for years and years and you're able to still keep in touch. Some people aren't as lucky.

Thankful Thursday
November (and Thursday because of it's alliteration) is the perfect time to give thanks. I mean, we should always count our blessings, but I just thought it would be especially appropriate since Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
My best friend Sarah's grandmother passed suddenly last night and it got me thinking that I've never lost a grandparent. My paternal grandparents passed before I was born and when I was really young, but my maternal grandparents are still alive and in great shape (for the most part) and for that I am most grateful. My best friend, Sandi's papa, as you know, has been in the hospital for some time now and he has his good days and bad days. I pray for only better days to come. Also, Sandi's former college roommate's husband is having to undergo chemo treatments for malignant lymph nodes after having cancerous melanoma removed.
Here are some things I'm thankful for each and every day...
1. My Family.
They are all in great health. There have been setbacks, but they've always overcome the odds. And I am so thankful that after 16 years my dad will be moving back to Due West, SC. Where I grew up and my mother still lives today. Since my parents got divorced, they have never lived in the same city. It's such a blessing that he will be able to retire at the end of the year and move closer. Visiting both my parents in the same day is a small blessing for which I am truly grateful.
2. My Friends.
I have the most amazing, smart, witty, beautiful, successful, honest, and loyal friends that I could ask for. I don't know if I deserve it.
I'm also so blessed that this blog has allowed me to meet so many new people. I never thought that something I would enjoy as a hobby to make others smile, laugh, and update them on my day to day life would give me the opportunity to meet such great new gal pals! I hope I get to meet each and every one of you someday! :)
3. My Job
With the unemployment rate like it is, I'm so thankful to still have a job. When I graduated college in 2005, it took me two years until I found the job I have now. I worked so many horrendous part-time jobs and internships until I got my first "big girl job." I could write a book on all the crazy, embarrassing, horrible interview stories. I've been on more interviews in a 2 year span than I can count on my fingers and toes.
Some days I may hate my job, but the people I work with are like my family (and they are crazy...as seen in the picture above).
Well...I didn't mean to get so sappy on you blog buddies. But I just wanted to share those things that I am thankful for and I hope those that are included in this post will get a chance to see it and realize how special they are to me.

I think it's great that you did a post about all you have to be thankful for. We are truly blessed in so many ways.
I am happy to hear your dad will be moving closer. You seem to have such a close relationship. That is awesome.
I love the office photo! Oh, and I, too, could write a book on all the awful job interviews I had when I was in the job market years ago. I guess it's part of growing-up.
Lovely post.
Have a great weekend.
